okay just want to make sure I'm covering the whole aspect.... i'm swapping on a set of gt40 heads, and upper and lower intake, and injectors. Just wanted to make sure that I have everything on my list that I need. I'm wanting to go to roller rockers, so I'm needing a set of 1.6 rr's, pedestal mount, head gaskets (what type would be best?), intake gaskets and tb gaskets, exhaust gaskets, valve covers from a cobra, going to replace the valve springs and etc, intake elbow, and thinking about a phenolic spacer but not sure how much of a difference it will make.. what am i forgetting? i'm having a brain fart right now.

Well..with a valve spring upgrade I highly recommend the Trick Flow ford cast iron cylinder head valve spring kit.

I would use a 1.7 rocker (like the cobra rocker) instead of a 1.6 but that would also depend on what cam your looking at.

As far as head gaskets, I would use the Fel-Pro 9333PT-1 that is their higher end gasket. I would also use a rubber valve cover gasket. You can get all those gaskets at AutoZone.

A spacer isn't worth the $$

cool i'll look into it all. i already have the bottom end done, 10/10 grind crank, forged rods and flat top k.b. pistons, rings bearings oil pump yadda yadda yadda and I did the tfs 1 cam when i did the bottom end. so was going to stick with the 1.6 rockers but how much of a diff. would the 1.7's make and do you think there would be a chance they would make out with the pistons or would they clear? i know i'll be doing a pushrod check but want to make sure. as for the spacer I wasn't sure if i would need one for clearance but if not then you've answered my question hahaha..
