lol for real though, totally random question.. because theres not much going on tonight and curious if anybody else with these tires have ever noticed this.

HAVE YOU NOTICED...... that the two strips of tread (shown in red) are discolored on our tires? or is this just me... go check it out next time your in the day light. and i run my tires properly inflated so they aren't wearing unevenly.

I have the KDW 1's, but I will buy these when they were out! I've been looking @ these since they 1st was talking about them! When you did the tread like that, looked 100% diff from the pics I've seen. I just put them next to each other, erased what I had typed, they are the same!

I'll make a note to watch out for this!

I wanted those tires pretty badly but got a good deal on the regular KDW's. I've heard those tires are noisy, true? My KDW's weren't noisy at first but now they hum around 50 mph.

Heard that about them being noisy! I drive a convertible!! Can they really make that much of a sound? My car is too loud/exhaust wise, but it's far from being quiet! I figured the noise would factor in good. Noisy, huh.

I noticed that too. I think it is a different compound rubber molded into the tire, cuz it doesnt completely cover the entire block that you highlighted on my tires, it more makes two stripes on the center of them. Hm. maybe I will call up BFG and ask them.

+2, had mine on since september 2007... always wondered why they looked like that... they stand up to alot of abuse though!!! as for road noise, idk, my car hums, vibrates, snarls, creaks, squeaks, etc... no isos, tubular k-member and poly motor/trans/U n LCA bushings help transmit any nuance available... oh and i have a rattling exhaust pipe too javi... sh1tz ghey

My car rattles some, and the delrin bushings in the front end are gonna drive me nuts. I have some silicone grease I will put on them this weekend.

awww Javi, your going to sacrifice a good performing tire for a bit of noise? booo

haha i drove down to austin on these tires and they were fine. i was tachin like 2700 the whole way though with the windows down, so maybe thats why i didnt notice.

They do perform sweet but the humming they make is annoying. There are other performance tires out there that don't make noise, but i wanted BFG for the front since i got their DRs in the rear.

The wet weather traction is 10-15x better than my old Nitto 555s, Nankang NSIIs or Pirelli Assimetricos (sp) could ever provide. It rains a lot in Baton Rouge and given the "new jersey like" roads, I don't have to tell anyone about white-knuckle antics due to poor traction. KDW2's for my stang, FTW!!!

Interesting looking tire. They will probably be my next tire to try. Or more so the KDs and not the KDWs.

Right now I've been running Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3s and have been pretty happy. Very sticky tire.

Ive heard good things about the Goodyears. I know a dude running them on a Saleen Exreme, and he is super happy compared to the Kumhos he had.
