so i just bought a new o/r h pipe. opened the box and it was in two pieces and to attach the two pieces together, there was this coupler thing that connects the 2 together by being welded or something. is it suppose to be like that? do all o/r h pipes come like that? it was a mac btw

if it is clamped, is there a pretty good chance that it will leak?

It can eventually leak....either way is fine. Use a U clamp if you dont have access to a welder....If you can get a welder, then by all means weld it, and use some high temp paint over the welds (to prevent it from rusting)....

you'll probably have an exhaust leak in like 2 months if you use a clamp, plus they rust your pipes MUCH faster cause they trap water.

weld it if you can!! or you can just reclamp them every once in a while.

welding makes life easier, later down the road. just make sure everything is how you want it, cause once it's welded, you're stuck with it lol
