If I take the GT out for a while, get it hot, let it sit for half-hour to an hour, then try to start it- it won't catch on the first try. Hit the key again and it starts up after a second or two. Ideas? All I've come up with it plugged up IAC (but it would be an issue all the time) or some type of fuel pressure issue (replacing the fuel filter anyway). Ideas?

cycle the key twice to let the fuel pump prime twice before actually trying to start it. Does that change anything?

mine does this everytime because i have aftermarket cams. when was the plugs last changed? deteriorated plugs make it harder to start. air, fuel and spark.

The car will be getting new plugs within the next week. I have them, just not the time to install them. Will try the key trick.

I wonder if the heat soak affects the fuel in the lines & injectors someway...would it cause higher pressure & the injectors to leak down not leaving enough for the next start? Just thinking I truly don't know
