The junkyard in the building as me received a clunker today. It was a nice and clean 95 GT which is the same color red as my car. It was to clean to clunk in my opinion but I'm still gonna try and rape all the parts from it that I can. Heres the deal the passenger side window/roof molding is slightly cracked on mine. It was like that when I got it so I dunno how it got there but I need to know how to get it off of the junk car. Is it just popped in? It looks to me like it could snap pretty easy so thats why I want to make sure I'm doing it the right way before I try and take it off. Heres a picture of the molding...

you need to get to it from inside. drop the headliner and the A pillar cover and you see the nuts in there

I don't think you need to remove the headliner to get to the bolts.. Gently pull the door-to-body weatherstripping away from the body, then there should be 7 or so screws holding it on..

ya on the interior side. I have a vert, but have removed the similar molding. It's half the size, but I'm assuming the bolts just travel up the whole way. Just make sure to not rip any soft parts. Good luck!

pull down the weatherstripping and there are a few screw there that hold on a metal bar. there is also one at the very front of the peice that you have to open the door to access. i believe that is a 11mm nut.

ive done this twice before, you have to take the back half of the outside molding thing that u want too, theyre connected in the middle and it makes it soooooo much easier if u take both off,
-remove the rear interior plastic where the back seatbelt comes out of, remove those bolts forst then make your way foreward, and dont forget to remove the bolts at the end all the way in the fron, im pretty sure u can reach em just by opening the door

this GT that Im getting this off of is raped already of all its good stuff. They didn't take any time pulling the parts off of it. They get freakin 900 for a used t5 which I find ridiculous that people would pay that much but I guess its what they go for at the junkyards. So no spare tranny for me because Im not gonna pay that much for it even if I get it for half price. Rearend is already sold off of it. I will just get to choose the parts off of it when they are done taking off everything they are gonna sell.

Being repainted would have nothing to do with it anyway.

Swirls are gonna come with time...only way to keep them tamed is to polish your car every now and again
