So i just recently bought some almost brand new black saleens that look great on my car but since its not lowered it really has the ugly 4x4 look...youll see in the pics i post. I need some advice for what lowering springs I should go with, and how much should I lower it to get a really aggressive looking stance...Also where should I buy them? I know Americanmuscle is a great company cause ive bought from there so i was thinking about that. That brings me to my next question about exhaust. I know its all about personal preference but I bought a magnapack catback from americanmuscle and it sounds great but i want it to be a little louder so i was thinking about midpipe's...its hard to tell exactly the difference between h pipes and x pipes on youtube so i dont know what to go with. also does it matter what brand i get cause i could get the ones that magnaflow makes so i would know it would bolt up good but there so much money compared to like pypes or something else...

you can really see how far its come from the beggining and i cant wait to lower it i think it will really finish it off nicely but would love any advice you guys have!

thanks

How low would you like your car? Also on the exhaust i would go listen to the Exhaust thread. You can get some really good idea's on what you like and should buy. If it were me i would probably go with a Eibach Pro Kit on your car. As for exhaust i am looking at Mac Flowpath right now or Spintech.

If you want to go low get H&R super sports, Most mustangs look amazing with t ose springs. If you want loud get an off road mid pipe. One thing to consider is if your state has emissions. Here in Iowa we dont have emmission . So I went with a off road Prochamber from MAC.

I love my O/R X-pipe but some people don't like em. The X-pipes give more "dissonance" and seem to be more gurgley and cackle more. Exotic may be the word. I really don't know about springs and stuff though.. mine was lowered when I bought it.

X2 on the emissions mention.. If you don't have to worry about getting your car "sniffed", then an off-road H-pipe is probably your best bet.
X pipes are nice, but have a little raspier tone than the h-pipe..
As far as lowering goes, this was my old setup when i first got my car.. Eibach Prokit, Tockio blue shocks/struts, 17X9 wheels, 275/40/17 tires.

Eibach pro is the best choice for sure.

Offroad x-pipe will give you the sound you are talking about and want.

I had eibach pro, deff take away the 4x4 look but it lowers it to a hight that IMO should of been the factory hight (sn95s are wayyyy too high) they rode nice, were not low enough for me so I switched to coil overs.

here are pics to help u

With eibach pro's:

After (the rear has been dropped a bit since these pics)

I have the Jamex Sport Springs which is basically a Eibach Sportline. Little rough of a ride but i have yet to get new shocks/ Struts. I love the look of it though.

I don't know much on lowering, but can chime in for exhaust. I have a normal Magnaflow catback and it is loud at WOT and pretty normal at idle/normal acceleration(probably will change a cam). I got a 2.5" o/r H pipe which I like compared to the offroad X's I have heard. Call me old school, but H pipes give it a more "muscle car" sound and the x pipes give it a more modern "exotic" tone. So it all comes down to personal preference :).

yeah thanks for all the pics guys!!! keep em comin cause i wanna get a really good idea of what the different spring set ups can look like. so far ive heard alot about the eibach pro kit and H&R SuperSports. when i was lookin at americanmuscle the H&R's apparently lower it a little more on the stats sheet then the eibach pro kit but not sure...and whats with the spring isolaters? what are those and do i have to get them?

H&R SuperSports, stock isos. looks about 100x better with Saleens :headbang: Doesn't have the "a$$ sag" look that I've noticed you get w/ Eibachs.

yeah i was wondering about that too...it says with supersports it lowers front 1.75 in and rear 1.6 where eibach lower front and rear the same at 1.5in probably making the rear look to low. im just assuing this cause i have yet to see an SN95 with either of these set ups in real life

haha well just make sure you know what u want, it sucks buying parts twice. Eibach Sportlines probably drop the car a touch more so it depends how low you really want it. and thanks for the kind words man.

oh and:

as for exhaust, go off-road. michigan doesn't have any kind of emissions shit to deal with as far as i know. I can't tell you how many people i know without cats in so I'd go off road no questions asked. would have let you listen to mine with shorties, o/r x and flowmaster 40s but didn't end up catching you on ww
