head+cam questions

hey all. Just wondering on what would be better for a NA 4.6 build. I would like to go with MHS stuff, so my question is:

1) Is it better to go with a set of stage2 PI heads + stage 2 cam from mhs OR:

2)Go with a stage 2 NPI heads, with a stage 3 NPI cam??

Wondering if the bump in compression from the PI heads will be worth more power than the extra durations of the NPI cam?

Max effort cam for stock PI heads, 5 speed or 3000 stall torque converter recommended. compared to: ​ NPI STAGE 3 - NATURALLY ASPIRATED 233/235 550/525 106/112 109 Aftermarket intake, ported heads, headers, and higher flow fuel injectors are required. rough idle. ​ I'm not to learned compared to a lot of people on here so anything will be helpful. you're gonna make more PI. I wouldn't waste your time with NPI personally.

getting NPI cams will be cheaper, and depending on your goals, may be plenty for you. it looks like you can get right around 270 at the wheels that way.

but going with PI will give you more power in the long run. shoot nick an email to see what he recommends for your goals.
