head questions......

building up a 69 302 block and looking to get some probe pistons. found some that are .40 over and are these are notched for inline and twisted wedge heads...... do i have to use them with these type of heads? Ive seen the tw heads but am not understanding the inline heads. can i just not use the stockers? someone let me know..... :-[

I'm pretty sure that notching the pistons just gives you more clearance IF you need it. Basically to my knowledge you can run any kind of head with notched pistons, but you can't use every kind of head with non-notched pistons. I think you should be fine running any kind of head with those notched pistons you are looking at.
