Hello all, i have a quick question what is the main difference between shorty headers and long? Thanks

shorty stop at the same spot as factory, while long tubes travel further down to about half way down the mid pipe. so you have to have a smaller mid pipe.

provide significant headache increase over shorties in installation, groundclearance and underhood maintenance aswell, or so I'm lead to believe.

I do not disagree. Although, most people running LTs are either lowered, have side exhaust, subframes, etc. other low-hanging items and they are definitely not the lowest point. They do cost more, they are more difficult to install, and if you have an issue with them, they're more difficult to work around. With anything, there is a price.

I'm running shorties and install was a breeze. Taking out the longtubes that were in there in the first place well that was a royal PITA. For the whole 5-10hp difference I decided to get the shorties.

I did but it was the fact that there were big holes in the longtubes that made me take them off and the rigged up stock hpipe to work with the longtubes wasn't too good either.
