how hard is this to do? i mean it leaks coolant all over my shoes so thats my guess anyways, and the windshelid fogs consistantally..

but i helped a friend change one out on his truck, and we had to pull the entire dash apart.. does anyone have any experience with this?

you need to get the dash up and off, then you can slide part of the heater housing out and then get the new one in.

i had to do it three times and after the first time it was a breeze. i did it in 4 hours or less the third time.

the write up he just posted is very usefull. thats the one i used the first time i changed one. all in all its not that hard just a PITA

i got a price on what it would cost to do it at two places right up the road from me one place wants 700 the other place wanted 900. UNBELIEVABLE. its a good feeling, saving all that money.

OR you could just by pass it and call it a day!

We only charge 300 plus the part to do the job. If you are a regular customer it's 300 including the part. Wish some of you guys lived closer!

Funny, nope my shop does. They are in Dayton OH, and Matt has done nearly as many as I have. We can get them out and back in the proper way without damaging the tubes. I am over here supporting the mission and my Fiance, matt and ben are running the shop while I am away. Actually I am in BAF currently, need to change my location. I am on permanent 'tdy' lol.

Yep, not bad at all. worth it to have someone else do it, lol. I know I hated doing my first one, took a weekend. Then I got to where I could get them out and in, back running in a day. so we pass the savings onto the customer.
