This does not seem right... the weatherstrip fell out on me on both sides when I was doing the 1/4 panels and dash this weekend and I can't for the life of me figure out if I have it going back in right.... seems those pins should go in straight and not stretch that rubber. The strip im talking about is the piece that runs under the 1/4 panel. It looks to me like it is supposed to go behind there and run up over the window and then down the a pillar. The other end ends flush with where the a pillar trim stops so I think I have it right but if someone could chime in or post a pic of theirs that would be great.

Thanks.

Nah its not, the area where the pins are on mine is stretched... any chance you could get a pic of where the other end of the weatherstripping ends down by the a pillar? Then I could just match that and go. And thanks for posting that pic, let's me know mine isn't right at least...

looks like you need to push the panel back towards the back of the car. Pop the back seat up and see if you have the panels fitting flush with the metal behind the seat, there should be NO space between it and the metal(held in place by 3-4 larger plastic pins).

it also might need to move down. See the gap around the curve on the inside of the car? The bottom can be a little tricky to slide over the rail and I think there is a clip er two that locks it in place

Well there is a slight gap in the back but that 1/4 panel will not go any further back... dunno... ill try again and see how the old panel fits too for comparison. As far as the weatherstrip goes... pretty sure I figured that out and I feel like a moron lol.

I think there are 2 clips that help to line it up into place and willing to bet you have them off just a bit. See if you can pull it back out a little bit and then try to align it using the holes the clips behind the seat use as well as the rail/track at the bottom/back of the door it slides on.

I had the stupid bottom guide bent on both of them... pulled the panels back out, unbent and put them in properly... As for the weatherstrip, that is back in, everything is back in properly and buttoned up back there. I will say these black interior pieces I got are SUCKING up the Meguiar's... looks like some have been sitting for awhile but it is all shining up nicely. All I have left until my new seat foam/upholstery gets here is to de-billet the interior and do the scuff plates that sit in the door jamb which I had completely forgot even existed until I did everything else and opened my door and saw grey panels stuck in there... grrrr...

cool man glad you got it. If they don't line up and easily slide into place don't force them. Pull it back out and try again.
