Help me identify this squeak (belt maybe?) - video and pictures included

I can't be surprised, I bought a car that was already modded. She developed a squeak this morning, seems to be in time with the engine RPMs (sorry, should have blipped the throttle, but I will record another if someone would like). I'd like to think it's just the belt...I know it needs to be replaced, just need to get the info from procharger.

And no, I didn't drive it today. Drove it around the block once to see if it would go away, and it didn't.

take long prybar and apply pressure on the tensioner.

if it goes away that's what the problem is.. And get the belt changed also.
Ii have a failing tensioner on my car and it makes that sound.

If you drive the car for a longer amount of time to let the metal expand the noise will go away.

Huh, I don't see any cracks on the rib side of the belt. Looks to be a pulley mis-alignment issue somewhere here.
Somewhat common problem with some aftermarket UDP's.

It only started this morning. The only thing I can think of is yesterday I did drive a bit more "spiritedly" than normal on my day to day tasks.

i have a sound just like that but its my throw out bearing is dry. you might check your tranny. do you have clutch chatter?

clutch chatter is a new concept to me...but yes, I think so. I have what I believe is a 6 puck clutch, it's stiff as hell, and if I try to slowly slip it out, the car stutters. I'm no newb to stick, been driving it for 12 years, so it's not that I'm not giving it enough gas. In fact, if I give it hardly any gas, it starts going just fine...on the flip side, if I gun it and let the clutch out fast, I'm also fine.

BUT, I have also gone through a TOB on a previous car. That made a sound that went away when I put the clutch in. I understand that some TOBs make noise ONLY when you put the clutch in. I'll check again when I get home, but I don't believe the sound went away with the clutch in or out.

you do need your fly wheel turned though lol im goin through that with my trans. didnt do it when i got a new clutch so its slowly destroying it and i didnt grease the TOB enough which makes it squeak but it does go away with the clutch being pushed in. you should like you know what that is. just somethin to check. first thing i thought of when i saw squeak. how long you had that clutch.

one quick check that i had to do how we figured out i needed my fly wheel done is to take the dust cover off and see how much clutch dust you have. i have had mine in maybe 6-8 months. the mechanic said he thought it was in there 60,000 mi. lolol so i just need it turned for hot spots.. and hopey fixy

yeah, I didn't replace my flywheel the last time I had a clutch done. Not going to make that mistake again. Probably get an aluminum one.

As for the age of the clutch, it's probably at least 10-15k miles...a previous owner put it in.

look in your last picture, see the backside of that pulley, thats most likely your problem.

Not sure what you're talking about...there's scratches on the front, and the belt is a little worn out on the front edge...I don't see anything wrong about the back, but this is my first Mustang...

no no, not the water pump pulley. look at the pulley to the left, see all that orange residue. thats caused from heat usually from a worn bearing in the pulley.

what you REALLY need to do is pull the belt off and spin all the pulleys, i'm sure that pulley will be toast. also wiggle them all the tensioner/idler pulleys side to side. you'll need to replace any worn pulley or you'll keep having problems. the one i'm talking about could be the only problem, but its best to check them all.
