Short to voltage?

Wait a minute... let me finish watching your video. Now I'm thinking short to ground. I'll be back in a sec.

Okay, not Short to voltage. My first thought is that your headlight switch is messed up BUT my instinct tells me that when you wired in your taillights you've some how created a "Short to ground". Meaning that you have some bare wire somewhere that is touching the body of the car. And this could cause problems back to your relays. My suggestion for solution... disconnect all the "ghetto connections" (your words) that you made and be sure all the wires are insulated (taped off) so they don't touch anything. Then test again. If everything comes back (with the exception of the tail lights) then it's a short to ground. Re-attach one side at a time and see if it's still happening. Once it happens look at that connection and see if you are grounding out (wire to body), if you are not, then there may be a short to ground in the tail light itself.

Then post again with results...

Hope this helps.

I spoke to my auto electrical instructor today about your problem. She said my first guess was most likely right.... that there is a short. Are you using the correct bulb for that newer tail light sockets you put in?
