From what ive been hearing im going to need a spacer to clear Tall valve covers with my Edelbrock RPM intake.
It will have AFR 185 heads w/ 1.6 rockers if it makes a difference.
Anyone know for sure if I will need a spacer, How thick, and where I could find said spacer to fit the RPM intake?

I'm in the same boat.

Depends on how off your upper intake is. You could need 1/2" or 1", maybe something even smaller. I would place your upper intake in place and measure the space between the upper and lower intake, and go from there, obviously if the space between them is exactly 1/2" you're going to ant to go with a spacer larger than 1/2" and not one that is exactly 1/2". You'll also need a longer EGR tube, unless you delete it. I have to get a longer one for mine but I'm not sure where they sell them. Other than that the only other problem is to make sure you clear your hood.

Well right now the shortblock is apart and will be for another week or 2 so I cant mock anything up for awhile, just trying to plan ahead. Egr is getting deleted. As far as the hood goes, if I need xxx spacer to make everything fit then I don't really have a choice. Hood can come off for awhile til I can afford another one.
