Hi all! I finally registered..

I am looking for some help. I want to know if someone here can show me how to replace a seized air compressor and and dryer. Some steps/tips. I've had the job quoted many times for nothing less than 1100. I live here in Houston and summer is already here. And would like to get this fixed asap.

do you need to replace the dryer. the compressor is pretty easy. Just make sure you drain the ac system b4 you start unbolting the lines. The pressure will blow the freon everywhere.

I've read the Haynes Manual on how to replace the compressor, seems pretty straight forward. I just wanted to know what else do i have to replace?

BTW the system is discharged.
