I'm building a higher compression motor, at what point is pump gas no longer reliable? I'm at 11.8:1 compression ratio, I wouldn't mind staying pump gas, lol

Limit is gonna be about 11:1 and thats assuming you arent gonna be trying to drive it around like a regular car. Otherwise get used to spending for race fuel to mix in.

I have a friend that has an LT1 with 12:1 and he runs it off 91 no problem. Compression is compression. I guess if you build it and it pings you'll know. Haha just start buying freight loads of octane booster from Oreilly's. Lol

11:1 With aluminum heads and good tune is possible but I would think 11.5:1 would be too much for 93 octane..
