You put the stuff in the vacuum line to the brake booster right?

What you do is while your car is running you pull the hose off the gray part on the booster and pour the sea foam in to the hose while it sucks it in.

After putting about 1/2 of the can in you should turn the car off or sometimes the car will die/kill while pouring. plug the hose back on the booster.

Wait 5-15 mins

Then start the car up and rev it and hold it at 2-2500 or just drive it a few miles (WARNING it will smoke like hell for the first few blocks)

After driving it will stop smoking and the car should run normal but right after you start it it will run funny and maybe back fire a few times.

yes, I dont have picture of what im talking about, but i try explaint carefuly, ok if you look at the brake boost, it have a big hose that connect to the gromet, that big hose connect to a another plastic thing that have 3 hose thing that connect to it. that plastic thing have 3 hose connect to it, 1 is the big hose that going back of the intake ( next to the TB ), and other very tiny hose connect to the left side ( i dont know where it connect to, when i touch it , i already broke it ), and another small hose. PICTURE IT ? OK

here that big hose that connect from that plastic thing ( the plastic thing that have 3 hose connect to it ), the big one that run to the back of the TB, that the hose i use to put seafoam it, yes i put half can while the car is running, and it smoke while im doing it too, after that i let it sit for 20 min, turn on, and little rough idle, then i rev it up 1.5k for 2k rmp, for a few time, then some how it stay at 2k rmp, i turn it off, and check all the hose, im drive it home 10 mile, as soon i put on Drive the RPM drop back down to 900-1k rpm, and when i come to the stop, it spike back 2k rpm and it wont go back down.

the car got off road bbk header, and the last owner remove all the emission, and he remove bunch of hose, SO I DONT KNOW which hose is which that i broke off or something.

update : checking the Tree, and look like it no crack or broken. turn on the car, it still high idle and loud noise like a leef blower on intake air filter ( MAF sensor ) area, i unplug the MAF and car is die, then i crank again and car is idle beutiful.

when to part store and bought some MAF cleaner, and the torx tool thing, take off the MAF and the side MAF ( facing the air filter, im not a big fan of after market air filter that on fender at all. ) is so dark and burn, clean it off, put back in and car still high idle, but if i unhook the MAF car idle fine, and no noise like leef blower, i rev it up and rmp slowly back down again.

sound like I need a new MAF ? if I do, what is the best brand to get beside ford one ?

Ouch man good luck on getting her fixed up.

One of the reason i would never touch sea foam. I mean most people have no problems with it, but with my LUCK.. i would be the 1% that has a problem. Ill just keep my intake gunked up.

Look at the emissions sticker under the hood. It is a map of all of the vacuum hoses. a crack in one hose will make it run like shit. You need to be sure they are right including the one that you said was broke.

This is not a sea foam problem it is what he did with the hoses that caused the problem.

I dont have the sticker under the hood, what i cant find any other solution because i take out 1 hose, and put back the same spot, i dont touch any other hose. but anyway i drop the mustang at my friend shop, and let him chase after the ghost. hope something simple and not expensive. btw how much the mechanic charge to look at the car and find out the problem ? cause if something I can do, i want to do it myself.

Some of those lines get so brittle they break just looking at them, much less touching them. Often times they fall apart in your hand. When I bought my 98 I had one that was cracking. I replaced them all. You can ask somebody with the same year/eng. on this site to send you a pic of theirs. Might also be able to find it in a search or in a shop manual.
