High Idle, Revs Hanging. Help?

So when I push in my clutch the revs will jump up a bit and go down to 2100 and stay there until Im at a complete stop. Once Im stopped for a second or two the car will idle at about 1500 and its really loud and annoying. Anyone have a clue as to what might cause this?

What engine do you have? What mods? How old is the tune up?

Its a 5.0 with bolt ons and a mild cam. Larger throttle body, cold air intake, msd ignition

I would check the idle air control on the throttle body and see if you can adjust it down/tighter.

id second the TPS, also why not try cleaning the maf while ur at it and iac...

if the idle is hanging its the tps

The lower screw on my IAC is stripped out on the intake plenum so if the IAC is plugged up my car jumps up to about 3000 RPMs and hangs.. if I unplug the IAC it idles around 1000..

I'm gonna get a new intake plenum this weekend though.. but point is the IAC can make your idle hang like mine does..
