Just curious as to what people are getting for their top mileage on a stock 3.8 setup (can be auto or stick). I myself have just rolled over 196,000 miles on my '98, the car was previously owned by a gal who did almost NO maintenance, drove it hard, and never really gave a hoot about it... and it's still going fairly strong. I even added some 134a to it, and it has ice cold A/C again. Nice having a car where EVERYTHING still works on it...

I'd love to hear what mileage others have gotten out of their six-shooters.

Mine had 168k on it. Ive had it since 1998. It ran like a champ when I pulled the motor and swapped in a v8. The transmission and differential is still the same. Although I did have 3.73s and a tlok installed. I may have to toss out the diff though because its still a 7.5", and I cant burn any rubber without fear of destroying it.

I had a 1994 Camaro that had 280,000 on it. So it probably just depends on how you drive it.

Well, hell... if we're going to mention Camaros in here, my '90 IROC-Z had 235k on the stock drivetrain. I put another 50k or so on the built 350 I placed in it, but the rest of the car was stock. Fairly regular oil changes, maintenance, etc. probably helped contribute to that.

I miss that car.

I have 132k on my 95 v6 auto. i bought the car for 900, it has a dent in the side but it was in decent shape nothing major. Since then I'v rebuilt the a/c system and it blows ice.. reg maintenance.

Speaking of other cars mileage my dads 95 plymouth has 225k miles on it no overhauls, nothing.

Well, just hit 199k yesterday. Still going strong. I did have to replace a bad caliper bracket on the right rear... the slide pin had siezed up and caused the inside pad to wear down to nothing... but I caught it before it damaged the rotor. Now it's juuuuuuust fine.

Looks good for hitting the 200k mark soon. 88 miles a day round trip to work adds up.

Hit 200k last night. Had to get a pic for posterity.

(Also hit a possum about four miles prior... they make a sort of crunchy noise when they go under a Mustang's tires.)
