Well, I think this is my 3rd build up thread and this one I intend to see through (sold the first car and the second had a bent frame). I've owned this car since 2010 and been DD'ing it for most of that. I'm the 3rd owner. Almost all of this cars life was in the South. I thought it was a CL bullshit claim for a while but a few different shops have pretty much said it's damn clean for a 96. I actually found the dealer's key tag in the owners manual!

As far as current mods go (don't laugh); PI swap, smoked tails, smoked Cobra headlights (waiting on those), Corbeau A4s and 18x9 '03 Cobras

When I first bought her;

With kyrlon'd starfish wheels that winter

And last summer with '03 Cobras

Right before the last pic it was PI swapped by a good friend of mine. It's time to start digging into what I've got planned this Spring. CJPP "aggressive" lowering springs, 1'' spacers in the rear, MM C/C plates and MM FLSFCs. I'd like to do shocks and struts while I'm there but haven't really looked around yet on whats what. Tokico has come up a good amount. Was going to go KYB originally but heard they weren't the greatest. Than I read that Fox shocks/struts were the way to go since they're slightly shorter than the SN struts. Any comments on that?

The cars paint is somewhat in peril. Between clearcoat peel and fading paint, it basically just needs to be redone. But given the price of body work around here, that probably will be close to last as well as an undercarriage coating.

So yeah, fire away! As I've always said, opinions and help are welcomed and appreciated!

Yeah I dropped too much into that "failure to launch" project but I bet that Atlantic blue paint really pops in good lighting.

@ The 5.0, I don't haven't any notable picture but theyre going back on tomorrow and I want to do a small shoot with the smoked Cobra lights so I'll snap a few for ya!

Black Cobras are back on. Will take some pics when the spacers (1") show up. Also just ordered BBK O/R H. Magnaflows are next :headbang:

Got the spacers on. What a difference! At first I thought they were overkill but they look a hell of a lot better now. Decided that the 8'' wheels in the rear are getting the boot before the end of the summer. I'll probably end up with a 9'', maybe 10.5'' but I don't think they make 18x10.5.

Yup, ghetto jacks and 1" spacers FTW; 245s FTL! O/R H is still in waiting, will be ordering Magnaflows hopefully on friday. Still needs lowering :'(

So, small update. Parts are slowly beginning to pile up. BBK O/R H and CJPP lowering springs are in hand. Should have Magnaflow exhaust by tomorrow, hopefully have the MIL eliminators by the weekend. Did a little looking around the engine bay this past weekend, found a slight antifreeze leak. Nothing too major as of now. Also noticed a small leak on the drivers side valve cover gasket. Hoping to get those addressed sooner than later.

So after getting the Cobras on, apparently they starting browning. Aka "blooming". Got some white wall cleaner and a sturdy brush and spent the past 2ish hours cleaning her up (paint and all, not just the tires lol). I'm not 100% satisfied with the finish result but the sound of the O/R H and Magnaflows makes it all good!

Oh yeah, she was in the shop for the weekend getting the O/R H, Magnaflows, lowering springs, 2 pulleys and valve cover gasket. The stance is awesome so is the sound. I want to go a little bit lower in the front but I'm going to wait until they fully settle. I ended up having to take the mud flaps off in the front immediately since they were scraping.

Slight update. Ordered black Cobra headlights, ended up getting chrome. AM was pretty cool about the return and exchange so no problem there. Also it's been about a month now with the new springs. Had the alignment checked and it was way cambered out. Looks like MM CC plates are going to be bought shortly! If anyone has 'em for sale let me know!

Side note; I think a 3" cowl hood would look siiick!

Well, here we go; after two months of being lowered, a healthy combination of 18x7 wheels, a 1" spacer and too low in the rear has the fender lips clipping the tire. Small bumps, big bumps, hard corners; you name it they're rubbing. Actually it's starting to cut into the tread. I plan to get a few quotes on rolling the fenders. Hopefully it'll be done by the beginning of next week. Haven't decided yet but I think the next set of wheels will be chrome Soft 8s in 17x9.

I'm thinking about deleting the side skirts too. The clear on both sides is looking like crap. I'll post up some pics if I do it.

Well, after looking over the Stang and having read foofinator and KillNThrill24 's threads about Eaton swaps, I think I'm going to follow that route as well. I've still got some more reading around to do but I can say I'm officially on the hunt. Only thing I know for sure is that the Tork Tech lower manifold will be last (hoping to time that for tax return time; unless I hit the lottery and pay off my truck before then lol).

A local guy on CL has the M112 with "all sensors except TPS" and unknown miles for $600. How does that sound? It looks okay to me.

Thoughts? 6-8 PSI should be safe with a stock bottom end right?

Glad our threads could be of assistance! Foof's was the reference thread I used for mine. I have since changed directions with my car after buying a Bullitt intake manifold but I would still like to see other cars complete this!

Looking at the fins on the Eaton I can tell you one of either 2 things.. 1: it's been rebuilt or 2: it has real low miles. There's next to no wear on the fins which is really good. Mine with 15k on it has more wear on the fins. But for $600 that's real steep IMO. I paid $350 for mine but it didn't have any accessories with it. Still tho I think that's expensive as hell. Check around on SVT they always have Eatons for sale. Goodluck man!
