Hood stripes

Are most hood stripes decals, or are they painted on? I'm thinking about Screaming Yellow for the new paint job and that color needs black accents. I'm not seeing many shops that have strips for the SN95 models except for graphic express. Any suggestions?

Vinyl is big nowadays..all the camaros are vinyl..we used to put them on at the dealership before the car was picked up......painted is the way to go but I'm pretty biased

All the ones I've encountered are typically decals. Vinyl graphics.

Pro paint: cleaner finish..shinier finish..able to wax..won't get fade lines from sun..not ghetto

Pro vinyl: removable if you didn't want them anymore..cheaper

more durable (ask any fox owner who bought a fox body with a sticker from the factory)
higher quality
"done-right" bragging rights
never peels off or chips

cons:
more expensive

fast
easy
cheep
off the shelf
removable if you change your mind

cons:
fades in the sun
has different detailing requirements than paint
chips on the edges
peels up

Since you are getting new paint, I'd suggest painted graphics.

No not necessarily..stop at the body shop you're comfortable with and price out both options..if they don't do decals/vinyls they'll be able to point you towards someone that they recommend

Just saying but you can wax vinyls and apply a wet wax after and they will end up being just about as glossy. Plasti-dip is a super easy and cheap way to "paint" things if you want a matte finish, but just please don't do your whole car. I hate how that is becoming a trend.

It's becoming a trend BECAUSE of how easy it is to do. I've seen some really shitty jobs, but I've also seen some really nice ones too.
Like anything, you have to take your time. The whole car can be done and look decent, IF done correctly.

If you ever plan on selling it I'd go with vinyl.
