Horrible Creaking noise when steering

Whenever I turn the wheel the passenger front side makes these god awful creaking sounds, it's gotten to the point where it is embarrassing to drive my car. What would cause this? It's mainly low speed maneuvers or standing still. If I let my car sit for a couple days and get in it will be fine for about 20 minutes then it starts to come back.

Yea those are like brand new.

Is it when you're turning slowly or does it not matter?

Doesn't matter, just creaks slower if I turn slower and faster if I turn faster. I should take a video of it...it's bad.

Might be the ball joints. I've seen that on a few mustangs.

Thats what I would look at next especially since it does it when you turn and it reacts to different speeds rather than a consistent noise no matter how you drive.

mine does it to its annoying as shit

had the same problem. upgrade your front bushings and it'll be completly gone, i advise not cheapin out and getting the urethane ones so the problem never returns. its fairly inexpensive and a do it yourselfer depending how brave you are working on cars.

I installed springs myself, is it more complicated than that? How much do the bushings usually run, any suggestions on where to get them?

I had the same problem with my mustang. I never did get it fixed though. Sorry I can't help!

I would try your tie rod ends first. If you don't have a grease fitting on your tie rods then all you need to do is take a razor blade and make a small opening on the rubber boot and then spray some PB blaster into the rubber boot. Let it soak for a couple minutes and then turn your wheel to see if the noise goes away. If the noise goes away then you know you have a bad tie rod end.
