Ferocious , had his car dynoed and it only made I think 168 at the wheels . The npi cars r kinda held back from good #'s with just a few bolt ons .. Sorry Steven , to throw those #'s out like that . Hahahaha

My car made 158 to the wheel uncorrected. With +10% it would make about 175.

That's with an exhaust, cold air intake, and automatic trans.

Mine made 186 at wheels with intake tb and plenum and flow 44s. No tune. Not what I had expected. But was surprised by the 268 it put down for tq. Those numbers will be climbing soon.

215 rated base horsepower from the factory at the flywheel.

i had full bolt ons on my 96 GT 2v (NPI) and made 194 to the wheels.

Only difference from the 96-97 GT's are that it makes 215hp to the flywheel and the digital clock on the dash.
In 1998 they removed the clock, refined the exhaust, and added cup holders in the center console and removed the arm rest cup holder. Other than that it's exactly the same

These are all true. I really like the clock on my 96, which of course my old 98 did not have. Its also worth mentioning that 96 had crappier radiators and condensors since we are listing differences.

yup. good point greg. forgot all about the radiator change.

I'm under the impression that the 98 had a stronger firewalls, as well.

Oooh I forgot about that! I remember my '96 condenser took a dump.
Poked a hole right in the line and leaked out all the freon.... $60 later JB Welded that ***** up and used hose clamps and that thing never leaked again!
