How best store a ragtop for the winter?

I'm putting my two convertibles in the storage garage soon for the winter. I have usually stored them with the top up, windows partly down, and a breathable cover over them. It is better for the top for it to be stored with the top up or down?

Worst thing for a vinyl top is to leave it down. Always put it up or it will shrink like a mofo.

They are both fabric tops with glass back windows.

I always store with it up to save on wrinkling, especially on older tops. Its down enough when I drive it.
