As the title says, how to you CLEAN wheels and tires? I already am satisfied with how I shine/protect them (chrome polish on the wheels, then wax; and Armorall Extreme Tire Shine Gel on the wheels), but I was wondering if there was a better way to clean them.

I normally use a Brillo or SOS pad on the tires (although occasionally use a brush and some Comet), and the same car wash I use on the rest of the car (Meguiar's Deep Crystal car wash) on the wheels applied with a microfiber towel.

What says the rest of the sn95forums? How do you clean your wheels and tires?

I dont use wheel cleaner or APC on my wheels because they are waxed and just wipe clean.

I prepare a bucket just like i would wash a car with regular wash shampoo and a grit guard. I then use a dedicated wheel wash mitt to wash the wheels. After they are washed i spray the tires with APC and a stiff brush and hose off.

I usually never need to use wheels cleaners on my car because of the waxed wheels.

I tried some general APC yesterday when I washed the car. Nothing wrong with it, but I don't find it any better than what I was doing (Brillo pad and regular car wash).

Javi, that stuff looks amazing. Where do you get it from?

Excellent choice! I live just a few miles from their shop and have been using their products for about 6 years now. Joe and his wife are both great people who love cars and make great products. The Corvette crowd has been pretty big on them for awhile now and it's nice to see their products becoming more mainstream.
