Start driving more and it'll happen. Even though you think you're just flying through the gears right now, you're really not. When you start slamming and get really good at it, you'll start missing more often. Its those slight differences in timing between your feet and hands that get you. I do it constantly in the SRT4 on the 2-3 shift. But the shifter is jsut flat out crap in that thing.

You haven't seen me shift. I've been racing stick shifts since I was 13 years old, almost all T5's with steeda tria-ax's. You may not have been missing gears but I garuntee you aren't shifting as quick as possible, and if you are then your reflex is slow. It happens to everyone, and theres an obvious reason why your not, it's because when you move faster then T5/T45's want to move, they almost always give you trouble.

Amen to that. My 94 w/ the T5 tried to miss the 2nd to 3rd quite a few times. I never missed 1st to 2nd though.

I'm in an auto now. I miss my 5 speed. :(

My stock t5 only was 2nd to 3rd was easy to miss , but for some reason this dam new tremec and clutch nothing but problems and 1st to 2nd grinds sometimes esp when the tranny is cold or just started driving or when its really hot and 2nd to 3rd is easy to miss.I ALMOST WANT AN AUTO because manuals are such a nightmare with all the parts clutches flywheels cables clutches trannys shifters grrr, manual cars cost to much for upkeep, I wish I could afford a new car with crazy manual/ auto trannys like the nissan gtr has, not as fun as a manual but they shift like no other and cant say u " missed a gear" lol

it's cause your car is too slow for you to miss a shift..

We all miss gears, even the best of the best miss a gear every now and then. The more u practice the better you'll get at it. My T-45 grinds from 1-2 all the time i don't know if im not getting the clutch down far enough when i pull the shifter into 2nd or what but with a short throw u miss 3rd alot more i think.

I dont think you guys understand, this guy is perfect. Stop talking to him, he's better than all of us, we can't compete with him. Apparently, Im the only person to ever miss 1-2

it's okay, i used to miss 3-4 all the time but my 2-3 was perfection. i could never explain it. one theory was that i had two mustangs at the time with two different style shifter.

I never missed a 2-3 either. Then again it was for good reason. My T45 was on its last legs and would have ended up shitting itself all over the road LOL... it was getting crabby about even quick 1-2 shifts when cold. I don't think I got on it much at all the last month and a half I had it.

Can't beat on your DD if it's all you have

Maybe he is just gear shifting sevant. That would make him the best ever.

I like how a lot of people think they're really good at driving stick and then they go to the track and totally blow ass at it, or you ride with them and you're thinking to yourself, "this is it?" Lame. I've found the more guys talk about being good at something the less likely they are to actually be good at said thing.
