how do you remove the parking brake handle?

Thinking about replacing or recovering the handle and wondering how it comes off? I thought I heard it was just pressed on really tight but can't remember. I have a 94 gt if it matters, thanks.

remove the console and the assembly is held in w/ two bolts. Then just undo the parking brake cables from underneath.

Idk, I'd imagine it just slides on if it comes off. I always thought they didn't come off though. I'll have to look around, i might have a spare and can experiment with it.

It's just pushed on real tight. Chances are, you'll probably destroy it in the process of taking it off. Some people just slit it with an xacto knife.... I guess it doesn't matter if you're replacing it with a new one, or something aftermarket.
