How hard is it? Remove top of center console??

I will need a part so I can match the colors of the leather I will have my seat inserts done in. Me and my upholstery guy was talking, and I thought of taking this in. My seats are quite faded, so I cannot cut a piece of that off. Please remember that I can barely handle a screwdriver now! Is removing the top something I can do myself. I just cannot remember anything about it. I will look @ it when I go on the 20th. Thought y'all may know. Thanks!!

Its only 2-4 screws? If you can't handle a screwdriver, I'm sure anyone would be able to take it out for you.

I can handle it, just trying to describe the way my new brain now works. That's the easiest way I could explain myself. I was hoping it was like that many screws. The major questions should have been if I can put it back on there, right? I can remove almost anything. I might remove it, but let others put it back on there!! Thanks!!

I looked @ it some today! The lighting was bad, but I don't know about yanking that off though. I can pop the door sill part off pretty easy. Will that work instead? It's not really that leather look though. I may just have my mechanic look @ taking the console part off. That seems like the best thing I can match the color to! What do y'all think? Thanks!!

I'm still somewhat confused at why you are removing it to begin with? Are you trying to give a sample of what you want the upholstery on the seats to look like?

Let me try to break it down. I am having my upholstery work done 60 miles away from my house. I
m not sure why I typed that, but I did. I will get Nokona Athletics glove leather to do my tan inserts in. I need it so I can take something in to match the colors of my interior. I just need something that is the color that I will want to get.

I'll have black Hunsaker seats up front. I will add in the tan/saddle inserts to carry out the 2 toned look. I already have a black rear seat delete for the rear. I'm having something cool done to it, as well! Hope that made sense!

just take the lid, if your worried about getting it on right you shouldnt be driving, i bet my 12 yr old cousin could do it, and she has probibly never used a screw driver. much easier than the door panel.

It should have been back to me on 12/19. Dumbass me bought a hood that the only good parts where the 2 Cobra vents things! Everything else had to be remade! They had to work on it an extra 2-4 weeks. That moved it all behind. It is @ a Vo-Tech school, so there was a Xmas break for like 2-4 weeks. This week is when they have their orientations! They have every 8th grader from about 10-20 schools coming to look @ what they offer! This is a week in which they cannot work on it, at all! It's all my fault! It has been there, I think, for 105-8 days!

I don't get mad @ them, just how sucky I am these days! It's just 1 more example of how 'bad word'ing stupid I am!!
