I hope there is someone out there who can help or point me to someone that might be able to help. My '99 has had an issue on the passenger side with the window catching the edge of the top when closing the door, now with the colder weather, it is happening on the drivers side too. I bought the reprint top maintenance manual but it has very limited information on trouble shooting and adjusting. I tried adjusting the cam wheel at bow #3 with limited success, . I am willing to pull the back seat and trim panels but don't want to if I don't have to. Thanks for any help.

sounds like it is either going up a little too far or is off track for one reason or another. There is an adjustable stop and while your in there you can take a look to see if all the plastic pieces are still in the tracks.

As above it looks like your window going too high, there are adjustments but it is more likely that the rail that hits the stop has detached from the glass so the glass goes too high.

If that is the problem it is fixable, there are YouTube vids on it and late model restorations sell a bar to support the repair. I made my own, so far so good.

Take a look at the front of the window where the side mirror is. Does it look like the window has gone up too far?

I just go through repairing this on my convertible. The front window guide at the bottom became detached. I used the LMR kit to repair this

Strong indication this is the issue is to roll the window all the way up and look at the side mirror and the angle at which the glass joins it. If the window is 1/4” or more higher, this is your issue.

So, I got the LMR window kit installed. Sure as shit both rear brackets were completely loose. It is pretty tricky to get the bars installed. A magnetic tip reasonably long reach #1 phillips is needed. I chased the holes with an 8-32 tap as I stripped out a screw head trying to drive the threads like the video says. I still needed to move the stops all the way down AND I had to put an extra pad on the stop on window bracket. Finally fixed though, no more having to remember to crack the windows every time I get out of the car.
One more note - if you have the mach460 sound you need to remove the tweeter covers but you have to weasel the door panel past the housing as it has two screws behind the door panel that you cannot get to. It doesn't pop off like the door panel removal video.
