how hot does the intake get

I am considering painting my cobra intake and wondered if anyone knew how hot it gets? Just getting tired of the standard aluminum paint and still not ambicious enough nor have the tools to polish it. Do I have to use an enamel or would a paint safe to 500 degrees be ok? If anyone would happen to know offhand, or by chance had one of those nifty pyrometers and a hot motor they could check it would be great

I wouldn't think it would get over 500*. Definitely to hot to touch bare handed.

500 degree paint will work fine.

500* will be fine but i painted my old edb performer semi gloss blk and within 3 months it fades out to a flat look,but put some armor all and looks new lol
