No, usually the taller the gear, the more RPM's it spins; which drinks more fuel.

true, but in the city you don't reach highway speeds, which tend to be where your gear eats away your MPG. A car with a gear will get better MPG around town then a car with a stock gear, because there is a whole lot less effort involved getting up to a reasonable speed. Seen it time and time again.

Taller gears are usually referred to high gears, which are lower numerically which spin less RPM. Short, low gears spin higher RPMs.

i'm with you there.

i hate thinking about the bullshit gas prices ect, it just pisses me off


if i had to guess though i'd say 14/17 mpg

i remember doing the trip thing once and i believe it was 200-215 a tank ...never took it any further...never really cared lol

I went on a 200 mile highway trip a couple of weeks ago (cruising at a painfull 65MPH) and got 26.4MPG, even with a 3.73.

thats a slowass highway. i cruize at 75-80. or on this last trip about 50 miles i was cruizing around 95, i love people that speed.
