Just curious to see how light some of your guys cars are ? My car went on a really hard core diet over my 2 year build and when I recently weighed it was close to what I was guessing but a bit heavier . 2889 is all the thing weighs at the moment but once the stereo is done it will be a bit heavier ... That was on the scale at the track

If Tonys vert weighed in at 3600 fully loaded I'm gonna guess my lightly stripped hard top is in the 3200 range. Haven't had it on a scale tho. Aren't any locals except the one metal recycling place and I'll be damned if I'm gonna get metal shards tearing my tires up because they don't clean the place up lol

Yea I know what ya mean . Yea I took a lot of stuff out of my car . No windshield washer resivoir , cruise control , Mach 460 , keyless entry module egr , door crash bars , tubular k member and control arms , coilovers in all 4 corners dropped weight drastically as well. Ditched the rear seat . By swapping to bogarts over the 20's I think it shed 200 lbs right there . One day I should try and make a list because I ditched so much stuff

I would love to know what mine weighs. I've taken some stuff out and added some weigh in places. I have a list printed out of what most of the stuff in are cars weighs. Its a great reference when replacing stock parts with aftermarket parts.

3860 on a CAT Scale. 1/2 tank of gas, spare tire, stock K-member, rear seat and me in it.

DOHC heads = heavy
Blower = heavy
Intercooler system = heavy
T56 = heavy
Nice seats = heavy
IRS = heavy

lol... I can't win

Ive been meaning to weigh my car... I want to compare it to a gt/cobra and see if I actually have a weight advantage after everything.

I suspect is minimal but I still want to know.

I think 3400 is a stock vert, so probably 3500 with the IRS.

I hope to trim down some weight, but I'm more concerned with weight placement than anything.

I'm at 3180 with 1/4 tank of gas, no back seat, stock motor, nothing in the trunk. Weighed at a city scale so accurate enough.

Yea my old 248a car was very close it weighed 3050 with me in it so at the time 2850 with me out of it ... I've since lost 20 lbs ... I'm shooting to drop a bunch more weight and I have a good idea on how ill do it as well ... And gutting interior won't be one of the ideas

I'm curious as to how you plan on dropping the weight, if it's something you wouldn't mind sharing. All aluminum motor swap? Carbon fiber body panels? ;)

I need to drop a bunch of weight too - not the car, me. Although the car could lose a little more, I'm not prepared to give up some creature comforts like AC and power windows.
