im thinking about selling my car and getting a 5.0. maybe you guys can help me price my car. i know what it blue books for, but dunno what i could get for it.

Its a White, 1998 GT automatic. Cloth interior. 130k miles.

first off for the bad -
corner light busted (wife ran shopping cart into it)
few 55mph rock chips, and a couple door dings
slight squeak in passenger front control arm bushing, very slight.
starting to rust on lower rad. support and behind back bumper a bit.
wiper cowl broken on passenger side.
small tear in driver seat

for the good -
run and drives great. never let me down.
trans still shifts like a champ.
doesnt leak anything, anywhere.
80-90% tread on Nitto 555 tires.
MAC Cold air
75mm TB
4.10 rear
Bassani O/R X
SLP LM2 cat back
SCT Xcal3 with dyno tune.
Chrome 17x9 03 Cobra wheels with ford pony centercaps.
Drilled / slotted rotors with ceramic pads less than 2k miles ago.
new NGK plugs / Ford wires about 4k miles ago
Has a 80k miles motor in it. original motor was acting up, came across a deal.

thats about it. I really have no clue what i could get for this thing, and what i should ask for a starting price for it.

i paid 6k for it in 2003. Bone stock. still had the air silencer on it and everything.
what do you guys think?

and im not sure if this thread belongs here, if not, feel free to move it.

if you could sell it for 6500 in this economy you'd be lucky. Trying to sell a car that you have modified from stock is probably not a good move right now though, just my two cents

try selling it for a little more than you paid for it. start at like $6700 (thats how i do it). you might find someone at that price but i would say its probably worth around 5000 to 5500

why do you say that? and its not like its built, blown or sprayed. its a GT auto with minor bolt ons. its a good starting point for someone looking to build on. but thats about it.

and thanks guys, i was gonna start at 4500 and take 4000 for my lowest price. good thing i asked!

find someone that doesnt know much about mustangs to sell it to, cuz most people that know a thing or two about these cars probably wont pay any more than $3k for it.

i would pay 3000 to 3500 it and auto! and has rust issues, if it has rust that you can see, it will likely have some hidden rust somewhere!
