After reviewing my new parts coming in/on my car, I have to ask all of you guys, How much have you spent on upgrades for your Pony? I don't care if I spend more than what the car is worth, I am really loving this thing! Anyways here's my tally so far, more to be added by March :p.
(Prices in CND)
Car itself- $7000(bought it from my bro 2 years ago, they were going for $8k then)
Wheels/Tires- $1300(duties and shipping fees included)
Shifter knob-$35
Tune up kit(cap, rotor, plugs, wires etc)- $100
Centerforce Dual Friction clutch-$400
3.73 gears(going in officially now Feb. 15)- $35
Body work(new bumper/hood/prep work)-$1500
Brembo cross-drilled/slotted front rotors-$150 for the pair
UPR Clutch cable/quadrant kit- $100
Total(cost of car included)-$10620- without car-$3620

Roughly ~$2500 parts to come in by april Including Ford bullitt suspension kit, Termy seats, Magnaflow full 2.5" exhaust system.

EDIT: Forgot my Clutch quadrant/cable kit, updated.

Re: Be Honest, How much have you spent?

Crap, all I know is a lot!!  I added it all up about 6 months ago, I think.  I'll find those #'s.  I will do again as soon as I get my car back!  I've gone kind of nuts since Jan of '08 on my spending.  99.7% of mine are in the visual aspect, too!  I have not done hardly anything to the 'go' off my car.  All show!!!  I just had that list to move it, tonight!

I did it on 9/9/08. As per then, I've spent $13,490.00! I gave $6K for the car! Like I said, I'll re-add in about 3 weeks, I hope. It will add a little bit.

Im dumping all my money into mine, but it is a GT. I look at it this way, the 5.0L SN95 is getting rarer, and my car is already the most Unique looking SN in the city. You pay for being different I guess.

Yeah, I've paid $20k for an embarrassingly slow car, that I've tried to make up for by only auto-x'ing because it has no acceleration. I should've just stuck with RX-7's... My '83 GSL can probably do the 1/4 mile faster than this mustang AND it handles better AND I only paid $500 for that car...

Re: Be Honest, How much have you spent?

I really haven't technically spent any money on this car. I sold off all the parts from a previous project and put that money aside and that's my mod money. It really seemed like the cash went so much farther on camaro parts than for the stang.
$150 lowering springs
$50 pi cams/bolts
$60 FRPP plug wires
$15 k&n filter

and thats all i'm going to spend on it. once bonus and tax returns come in the other 'tang will be getting the attention.
