around here...most sn-cobras are anywhere from 7k -10k if you still have engine issues and i think your car is pretty mod free i would say high 8 low 9k

no... not just intake gaskets. i was told those werent bad.

the motor runs fine, no dying, surging, missing, nothing like that..

the rings are just kinda going out and the valve seals. ive been told its fine as long as you keep it filled with oil because it likes to burn the oil. i was going to get it rebuilt once our house sells (house is up for sale now) and then i was going to stuff some forged internals in it and get everything fixed..

also, the synchros seem to be going out also. it has some issues which should be fixed and not ignored.

and the mod list is small. it mainly has a lot of looks stuff but performance (which isn't much of performance lol) wise, it has a steeda triax shifter, RAM king cobra clutch, JLT CAI, MAC o/r hpipe, original 2 chamber flowies. MSD wires and i guess thats it.

it also has 110,6xx miles...

About 6.5k from what I can think of it off the top of my head. Try to sell it to someone on here where we can all vouch for you and you should do a little better. If not, let your dad sell it, that way it's not a kid with a Cobra...

yeah.. althought i reallly would love to have BAB's cobra, i just loveeeee my car. even with the problems it has.. idk would anyone else have this problem debating selling a cobra with a few engine problems for a awesome blown cobra, BAB at that?.... i think i would be more happy with his cobra but im attached to mine. i honestly want to keep it forever. my dad is about to drop almost 4500 dollars on the car to get it rebuilt with forged internals and all the fun stuff plus payy 8400 dollars to pay it off i think... well he said pay off all the cars because i asked him how much i owed on it so im assuming when he said pay off all of our cars, he was talking about mine. so i wont have to worry about a car payment (although i dont pay for it anymore because im in college) and it will hopefully have a fresh motor in it come anytime now (when house sells..)

what would you guys do? try and sell it or keep it and rebuild it?

Actually you are at a critical juncture... If you put that money into it to get it back up to snuff, you're still only going to have a 10k car on your hands, top's. So for an investment, no not a good idea. If you lovve your car, then cost shouldn't matter. But it seems you are ready for something new, so I would say sell yours now and get what you really want.

my dad is actually looking for a cobra so i showed him BAB's.. because it has some awesome mods and is just an immaculate car and i know its been well maintained by a caring stanger. but he said i should sell mine and get that one.. immediately i had doubts. even though my car has the engine issue, i love it. idk i just want to know what is smarter to do. im not going to sell my car for 6.5 thousand dollars. well, my dad wont. even if thats what its worth, it wont go for that much. rebuilding the motor will get me past stock numbers. ill be getting a tune, long tube headers, possibly cams (if my dad wants to, again im in college so im not pushing for anything lol.. a rebuild is totally fine with me.), and the mods I already have. plus ill be getting my tranny fixed so it will drive perfectly when its all done. i think i would reallly rather keep my car over buying a new one but i just want to know what is smarter and if i could get anywhere near 9k - 10k for it.. i couldn't afford to get another cobra if i sold it for like 7 or 8.

The way it sit's I don't think you'll get the payoff and some on it. I mean no offense, but would you buy it for that much?

i wouldn't mind paying 9k for the car. only because i know i have taken care of it and know there is nothing seriously wrong. i mean yeah the rings are going bad but it can be fixed. i may be afraid though if i didnt know the person selling it. thats why im thinking i wont get what i want for it + the motor problems. thats going to turn ppl away instantly i think. but no i would pay 9k possibly 10 for it.. i think its because its my own car though and i know how it drives and the problems it has and because i love it. ill probably end up keeping this car. i want to have it when im 90 so.. :hammer: ill talk to my dad about it though. thanks for your help man, i appreciate all of it!

....well if its needing a rebuild and your talking rings that can be a preety major issue....if it is something you have neglected your cylinder walls could be bad and you could have a real can of worms....i think its gonna be hard to get 9 or 10k for the car......i mean his is built to the hill blown and all and its 12.5k and hasnt sold yet that should be a indication....your car pretty stock needing a full rebuild the average buyer will be buying something like that for 6 maybe 7 k just because its a cobra
