It's a tough situation I guess. It's impossible for me to tell what your priorities are but I was in the same situation a little bit ago. I was going to trade my car straight up for a higher mileage cobra. After thinking about it, I decided to stick with and mod my car even though financially and performance wise it was not the best idea. I kept it because it was my first car and what I had worked for for the past 3 or 4 years. Plus, I paid WAY more for the car than I will ever be able to sell it for so I knew I would take a financial hit, plus the cobra wouldn't be as nice, and insurance would be a little more.

If you sold the cobra, I think you'd be lucky to get $8500 for it around where I live and mustangs go for top dollar around here. If the person knows what they are looking at, they will know burning oil means rebuild in the near future which means big time money, especially on a 4 valve.

Hope this helps...

Just stick with your whip. Your not going to get that much for it unless you sell it so some non-mustang enthusaist. Look at Dave, he bought his nice 99 Cobra for like what 9500 and it has low miles I Think? IDK, I'd keep it. But its your call :)

Thanks Zed, I was going to type that very thing. I only had 80k on mine too. With the issues you have, you wont get much. I say fix it and keep it.

yeah i like the idea of getting it fixed. i love my car to much, even with the problems.. and lately its been running kinda bad. i put some oil in my car today at my house before i came back to my dorm and noticed that the boot connecting the two JLT CAI pieces together hanging halfway out... runs better now.. it was smoking constantly but not anymore.

we have an open house today too (which is why i went ahead and came back to my dorm). hopefully someone makes an offer!!!

pray for me guys, i want my motor asap!
