I have a loud whining noise coming from the rear of the car. It sounds like its coming from the passenger side of the fuel tank, so i'm pretty sure its the fuel pump. How hard is it to change these things? I can't find my haynes manuel at the moment so can someone help me out.

kinda makes you wish you had a 05 up with the thing where you can pull it out while its still in the car lol.

On the flip side though, I think it was J.R. that said that you can cut like a little square in the car that way that you don't have to drop the tank anymore, just pop the square off and work on it... i think you can put it back "together" with like sylicone or somthing...

Yeah Matt's on crack it takes a helluva lot longer than 10 minutes. Trust me, I've done it twice. It is a huge pain in the butt. And you can't use a syphon hose- I tried that too :(

Ive done it both with a full gas tank, and an empty gas tank. I have dropped it and it took all of 10-20 minutes!
