I'm thinking about buying some new Mach 1 rims for my 96 GT, 17x9's up front and 17x10.5's out back. Will the 10.5's fit without rubbing? How wide of a tire can I put in the back without rubbing?

you can fit a 305 bfg, i had to roll my fenders with a 315 bfg on a 10 in rim. pretty sure you could run a nitto 315 no prob though on a 10.5

17x10.5 will fit no problem

a 315 would also fit fine... some cars do have a slight quad shock rub issue, but you can either turn them around or remove them if you have good U/L CA's

315' s will fit I have them on mine with Steeda ultra lites which gave me about a 1.5" drop.I was going to flip my quads,
but when I had them off I noticed they were so damn worn I didn't bother putting them back.I have noticed any problems
yet,but my car doesn't make enough power to really cause any problems either :hammer: .I may consider a set of control
arms after Christmas when I get to spend money again and I get an engine in that actually makes enough power to actually
use some. :thumb:

Justin had 335s on the back at one time so it can be done.

And as you see above, a lot of people run the 315 with no a lot of problems. I have heard a lot of people flipping or removing the quad as previously stated. You should be good though.

I had 315's on 17x10.5's and i was dropped 2 " all the way around. I didn't have to remove or flip the quad and didn't have to roll my fender either.

WOW Almost 4 year old post brought back from the dead!

I will be trying 335s with no quads and rolled fender lips. If not Ill keep my 275s till they wear out then go 315s.

have 10.5 on the back of mine, didn't need to flip the quad shock or anything. They came with 334 on them that would rub a little from time to time, 315 are perfect. You will love them when you get them.
