LOL he feared the gear and put 3:73's in his. While in my old GT i put 4:10's. He wants to do 4:30's next when he rebuilds the motor.

But i dunno with all this bein said this is gonna be an interesting friday atleast we gonna grab tons of beers at the lake afterwards... :happydrunks: :happydrunks:

putting 430s in mine was the best mod I have ever done to any car of mine ( except for what I have done with the L ) it made a huge change in the way that 99 ran. Totally different beast, got to be a good shifter to be able to do anything on the strip though.......those rpms climb VERY VERY fast

hell I got lost here, so your RUNNING the 302 car aginst the camaro and GTO but you ALSO have a 08 GT that your going to mod as well..........right?

nope leavin the '08 stock for the most part.


Just doin shifter and mufflers and window tints... Thought about gears but thats as far as it went...

Dude i got to reading/researching/asking around about what all is involved about the rebuild on that and thats more than i want to handle in a garage doing it myself... I dunno if i got psyched out by it or what, but ive never done it to begin with. ONly torn down my 302 twice and that was the upper part of the motor. Never the bottom...

dro they are a ckaewalk man. ive torn down a 94-95 302 to the bare block to do a rebuild for my old 86 f-150 a few years ago. what strip do you go to? im down in Montgomery

I go to the track every week. I see LS1 GTOs constantly in the high 14s even low 15s. The SS camaros are almost always good for low-high 13s depending on driver...
