How will i do at the track this friday night?

dro they are a ckaewalk man. ive torn down a 94-95 302 to the bare block to do a rebuild for my old 86 f-150 a few years ago. what strip do you go to? im down in Montgomery

Its a few miles out of gadsden if that tells you anything. Ive never run at the one yall got in montgomery but ive heard its better than steele...

MMP is one of the best in the south(on a good day, lmao)

they can screw up the track pretty bad on some weekends though

From what I hear they keep Steele preped very well? About every 2 weeks or so people from the Chattanooga and North GA area go and they always talk about the good track prep. I need to get up there and get some times in the 1/4th.

well ive only been once during the day on a saturday and they did a good job at preping the track. Actually got one of my best 60's on street tires that day. But at friday nights on test and tune all the ricers come out and dont know how to go through water boxes and the track is slick as hell. They let people get on the track with just about everything with 4 wheels and its just terrible sometimes.

Track sucked, not prepped w/ 80% humidity(i think i read that), and it rained earlier that day at like 5-7. So it sucked

Best time was 14.4@101 w/ 2.2 60'

Atleast i beat the 2 ls1's and my bud only beat me with a 14.2 time

The SS didnt run but the GTO ran a 14.8 and a 15.1 there was a guy with a vette with street tires that ran once and it cut like a 15.3 with a 105 or something like that trap speed, i really cannot remember. All the people on radial tires were cutting crappy times. But the guys on slicks were runnin decent, no 10 second passes were made. The best of the night was like a 11.50 from what i saw.

Keep at it. Practice makes perfect. You can definitely reduce your short times with more seat time.

I can attest to that, pratice is the #1 thing that will lower your times.

The very first run I made w/ this car last year was a 14.2. From the start of the summer to the end the only thing I changed was that I went to 3.73 gears from 3.27's, put in some 31 spline axles and started to run MT DR's (only the last 2 runs of last yr) but my times dropped every time I went. Soon enough I was running mid 13's, then low 13's then I hit 12's on the last run of the year
