My '94 has a fairly extensive list of mods under the hood (ie. Edelbrock heads, Crane Roller Rockers, FRPP E-303 cam, BBK Throttle Body, BBK CAI, MSD Ignition, MSD MAS, JBA Shorty headers, 3.73s, etc., etc. etc.) and there is one thing that really leaves me scratching my head: The gentleman that owned the car (and built it, actually) before me put a 4500 fuel-cutoff module on the MSD digital ignition. But the car doesn't REALLY come alive until after 3k. I mean, don't get me wrong, it has plenty of torque, but she pulls like crazy after 3k (DUH!, lol). That leaves me with a 1500 rpm "powerband" which is used up VERY quickly. I'd like to install a 6k module to bring the car back up to stock redline, but am too chicken to do it because he must have put that module in for a reason, right? I absolutely cannot afford a blown engine, but I seriously don't think an extra 1500 rpm's would kill it, and it would give me a 3k rpm "powerband". If someone on here knows something I do not, and can help me pull my head out of my robust hind-quarters, I'd greatly appreciate it. I come on here 'cuz everyone here has some input (good or retarded) and any help I can get to further my knowledge is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
