i actually wanted a bigger bike back when i had the zx6r after a while. besides i wanted something with power on tap, my 600 had to rev to the moon to make power, of course the zx6r was an 04 and im sure tech and power is a lot different after 7 years but i dont think id ever go back. the busa is just so much fun and plus my cobra was the vehicle that gave me the adrenaline rush for speed, it had 541RWHP but its been sitting in the garage without the blower for years and i wanted something brutally fast that wasnt overly expensive and wasnt modded to hills and would be reliable, i think the busa fills that perfectly. plus the busa is a good looking bike and it is pretty comfortable IMO.

Ive always been happy with the 600's and never had any reason to want to step up to a liter bike considering its pretty hard for anyone to use the full potential of a 600 on the street unless you race in MotoGP lol. Was hoping to get an answer this week for if I was getting one or not but looks like it will have to wait until monday or tues. Might get an answer on friday but I'll have to wait and see.

I say 954rr all the way!!!! 95% of the bikes still can't keep up with these. 370lb dry and @154bhp and I think if I remember correctly about 78 lb ft of torque. I love mine!!!

Those are quite nice but I'm stuck on getting a 600RR. More cc's just means higher insurance lol. With a clean record its already high enough just b/c I'm not married or a home owner. Plus it would take awhile to find that specific bike b/c they are not as plentiful as the 600RR

Been talking with a few people off and on over the past week. First guy I texted had a Red/Black 600RR with 10K on it but it is 4 hrs away from me ( one way ). For those of you who have not been to Maine its a fairly good size state not uncommon to travel 5+ hrs and never leave the boarder. The second one was very local to me but had 40,000 on it for miles and his starting price was $1,000 higher then ones I saw with less miles and more mods.

The one I have decided to go and look at (b/c I'm not going to waste my time traveling around the state to do tire kicking ) is an 06 Orange Tribal. It has a little higher mileage then what I set a cap on but overall its a very nice bike with a lot of mods for a great starting price. A lot of the parts on this bike are on my wish list for stuff I wanted to buy anyway so Id be saving a ton that way as well. It has a Yoshimura RS-5 Carbon Firber slip on, adjustable shorty levers, SS brake lines, HID lights, Seat Cowl, comes with a set of about half worn Pilot Powers ( equivalent to DR's in our world, stick great but mileage is less then reg tires) and a brand new set if pilot powers that are not mounted, New chain as of last yr with new rear rotor and new brake pads for the rear. His starting price is 4,300. After I look at it this weekend and if everything looks as though it appears from what Ive been told then I'll offer him 4,000 flat b/c I'm not trying to low ball him but he said he was a bit flexable. Hopefully if that check arrives early to mid week I'll be able to buy my gear and have it before I go and look at it on saturday. Need a new jacket and helmet. Here are a few pics he has sent me.

Can i ride on the back? (i dont know how to drive a motor-scooter) :(

LOL.

all seriousness:
that bike looks great. I love the paint. It's a bit flashy, but that's what makes it pop. You'll have to post up some bad-ass pics with all your toys once you get it.

lol its been awhile since I rode so I wont be taking passengers for awhile ( girls only ) :)

Its not that hard to learn, when I bought my 05 CBR I had never ridden before and I learned on that. Was not long before I began to feel comfortable on it but you can never forget what they are capable of

The Orange Tribal was only done in 2006 and after I saw that once I got my 05 I was slightly pissed b/c I liked it so much. The other colors Ive liked a lot are the silver and blue 07's

There reputation is very reliable. They are very well built with great quality. This shows more in some of the higher mileage bikes that are still going strong while other brands tend to develop issues. Honda recommends a valve adjustment at 16,000 miles but I have never read of anyone needing the valves adjusted at that mileage, a lot of guy get 20-25K before even checking.

Looks good to bad you aren't down here .... The 954 in pristine condition is going for 4500 with low miles....I've racked up 24k on mine and still love it. I don't hardly pay any insurance 26 a month.

That's such a nice looking bike. Ya to bad we are not closer. Only complaint I have is that damn seat, 2+hr ride home was brutal for the first long trip and not being conditioned to riding yet

Ya I might get something like that. I've done 2+hr rides before when I had my 05 but I was used to riding then. Had a little voice telling me to check the tire psi so I did last night when I got home from work and found it to be 27.5 on both tires. Was wondering why the bike felt a little weird on the ride home. Fixing that issue and doing an oil change and getting it registered and ill be good to ride. Hopefully I get the title this week

That's good... I know with my bike I can't run any oil that says ( energy conserving ) on the top... I used to run Rotella T6 in my Z1000....I run a 10w40 amsoil syn in this 954 and it loves it... It really quieted it down a lot. Te 954 is naturally kinda a noisy motor anyway.

Yeah any oil that says energy conserving is not good for the slippery clutches. I'm going to pick up some of that Mobil 1 4T synthetic
