Like the title says...I just ordered some FatMat Sound Deadener...

BYEBYE rattles, road noise, etc...I love my car, but its really loud inside and creaky from my suspension being slammmmed...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/100-...hash=item370062302186&_trksid=p3286.m14.l1308

I can't wait to install it :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6: :dancing6:

Its going on the floor pan, trunk, door panels...etc, everywhere I can put it, I can't wait to hear the difference. Its supposed to increase the quality of your sound system too, sweeeeeet

Any of you guys use fatmat, or dynamat in your stangs?

Ive got some other stuff I need to do first but I have been really wanting to do this. The rattles and road noise have been really getting at me. All I wanna be able to hear is my exhaust and sound system nothing else... Let us know how it does and how much that 100sqft gets you covered Im really interested since its a decent price.

As far as the rattles and squeaks go, these are sounds of mechanical deficiencies. They are caused by movement between most likely two metal objects that should not be moving against each other, or wore out bushings and such. These are things that need attention. Using sound deadener so that you hear them less is equivalent to turning up your stereo so that you don't hear the rod knock in your engine.

You will mostly likely still hear these noises. Sound deadener is for keeping outside noises outside, like wind, tire, and road noise. Squeaks and rattles that are within the metal structure of your car will still be heard.

The improvement to the sound of your stereo is from the lack of outside noise interfering with the audio quality. That's always a good thing.

The noise im hearing mainly is my suspension squeaking from not having isolators...and also some door panel rattling from my exhaust/music...and then the road noise is annoying.

I removed my backseat...so the road noise has increased a lot...the fatmat will be awesome :thumb:

Its actually said to increase your bass 3db in SPL as well as remove road noise. It keeps noise in, and noise out.

No matter what...its going to make my driving experience better, I'm excited to get it.

Tons of pictures will be taken...

Its 100sq ft...so I should be able to lay it on EVERYTHING lol

Its going on my entire floor pan, from front to the trunk, both door panels, under rear quarter panels, the underside of my rear seat delete, and anywhere else I can stick it.

I think im going to have some left over when I do all that...so I will be doubling up in high noise areas, aka under my rear seat delete and trunk areas.
