Hoping I don’t run into that but I’ve got the passenger side seated better. The driver’s side was pretty easy.

J-Mod started, J-Mod finished. I’ve gotta say though those old gaskets didn’t look too bad. Also picked up a non burned Trans harness and did some work on it. Now dealing with a 6 day stretch for work so more than likely won’t get back to got back up with it until Monday.

Gonna do my Jmod as soon as my zip kit gets in. I think there is a part that has to go into the valve body from the kit.

Hate these. Picked them up from Lowe’s on sale. They would not pull the snap ring at all but I went to AutoZone after almost tossing them across the street a d found some better ones that got the job done in 3 minutes.
swapped some of the parts needed from the old trans to this one but I seemed to have misplaced whatever the hell that is on the picture below. I’m gonna look for it again today and tomorrow and if I can’t find it... there’s always Pull-A-Part where I got the harness from. Hopefully nobody’s came and scooped the entire trans by the time I get there.
Still got to replace the engine oil pan, tighten everything up, figure out what’s going on with power steering, do the brakes, and a bit more. Also on my list is figuring out why either window won’t roll down now. Not a fuse and doesn’t seem like both motors would go out suddenly. Got some theories to test.

Springs, plugs, check valve balls, etc... Didn't do the Jmod this weekend. I think I need the gasket that sits between the plate and the valve body.

Didn’t go up with the transmission today but did get that damn oily pan off. Geez. And this is why dude cannot help me again. Well hopefully I’ll be going up and being done tomorrow.

Got some work done. Not as far as I’d planned but what does go exactly according to plan? Trans cooler mounted, trans is pretty much up... on to the driveshaft and buttoning up things.

Nah it’s not missing any. Just the housing broke so I replaced it. I got the order too looking at the other side and plug

I did that to mine when my trans was stock and honestly I ran it for another year. The replaced all fluids including torque converter and filter and still she ran good. I honestly only swapped my trans because I went with a built version when I was in NC because of military and I was drag racing every weekend.
Well that’s disappointing. This is a sign that I might wanna pause here and start working on getting another transmission. Damn
