So my car is making a sound that I have no clue what it is.

It doesnt sound good. Ill post a video link to it so you can see/hear.... Also when I throttle it, smoke comes out from back there. And it smells rich.

Im hoping its not a valve knock but a bad gasket or something.... :sad5:

DO NOT run that engine anymore. It may be a broken valve spring. I would pop off your passenger side valve cover and inspect. Regardless, that engine is running VERY rough, and something is not right.

Pull the valve cover and see what is going on.

Ill have to do that. I hope its something as simple as re torquing the rocker..

Just by the way, I fired it up to show a friend and the sound has almost disappeared. I'm gonna yank off the valve covers to see whats up.

Ohh.. dude. I just re-read your post. its probably just your smog pump port on the back of the head. check if there is exhaust coming out the back of the head.

If my Rocker is loose, how do I go about tightening it? Cause wouldn't that throw off my lifter?

Get out the stethoscope and start poking around to find out where the noise is coming from. No way to tell from the video over the internetz.

How fixable is this?

If the cup in the rocker (where the pushrod sits) doesn't have extensive damage, then you'll be fine. Reinstall the rocker, make sure to tighten to zero lash plus half a turn with the valve just starting to open, and you should be okay.

I'd probably change your oil too. You've got some particles floating around.

look real close at the top at the valve and pushrod for damage too. Make sure they are smooth with no burrs
I personally don't like the looks of the rocker and would replace it.

If the manufacturer of those rockers will sell you just one replacement, then I agree with Desertcox05 - go ahead and replace it.

looks like someone forgot to tighten down a poly lock...

IMHO, pull the other cover off and recheck EVERYTHING

+1. I cant imagine the push rod got away from that without damage. If you can get a single replacement, do it. If not, throw that one back in.
