So I pulled up into the parking space, turned off the car and got out. Went inside the store and did my business and left. Got into the car, turned it not all the way to firing but let my accessories turn on and I did in fact hear my fuel pump prime the line. Pushed in my clutch and turned the key.......

Clack....

Thats it.

Nothing more, nothing less...

SO I though... hummm well I did just put a new Alt and Battery in but maybe my battery got drained so I need a jump...... Hooked up to a friends Fox body... ran it till I had more than half a gauge on my battery meter. Turned the key again.....

Clack....

I have no clue why it isnt even turning over...

SO the other weird thing is recently when ever I pull my headlight nob, if its pulled all the way my headlights come on but my internal gauge cluster doesnt light up. If I screw with it and push it in a little, then it will light up. So I think there may be some electrical problem.

I suck at electrical, but I'd start checking grounds. Starting with the battery terminals.

On the battery problem check that the battery cables are tight, will it push start?

javi nailed the no start as for the lights: it's probably the switch and the pigtail to the switch. mine was doing the same thing so it thought it was the sw., took the guage bezel off and when i unpluged the connector i noticed a big burn spot in the middle of it. i figeurd the sw. was good and the real prob was the pigtail but since i already had the sw. too they both got replaced. fyi: if you try to drive without your dash lights you won't have any tail lights either.

For the lights it was a common issue with the 94-95's especially for some reason, the pigtail and or the swtich goes bad and needs to be replaced. you can do it your self its not difficult but more than likely your switch -$25- is bad or its your pigtail. It uses a plastic block looking thing that plugs into the back of the light switch. More than likely you will find your culprit.

yes, i have the same problem. My 94 cobra's light swith stoped working, and you had to play with the swith to get them to turn on. The middle connector on the pigtail melts. I have gone through 2 already. switch to a 99-04 pigtail, they have bigger wires.

When i replaced my pigtail i was able to push out all but one of the wires and push them back into the new connector. only do one at a time, and you'll have extra wires. don't worry about those, just match color to color and you'll be good to go.

Get I get some links to the pigtails or stuff I have to purchase? And should I just check my terminals or should I check my selonoid/starter?

That's why I ask if it push start? Cause it could be your starter.

I have to get someone to help me first. I would try it alone but it could be a difficult task.... I can only imagine..

It sounds as if the bendix is working, but the starter motor might not be in good health.

Good info since I'm on my third headlight switch. As to the original post headlight switch removal is easy if you want to investigate. Removing the actual pull knob from the shaft is the hardest part and it really isnt hard once you realize how it works. Pull your knob out like your turning your lights on and with a small screwdriver and flashlight look behind the knob on the shaft for the retaining clip which is just a angled piece of thin metal. Pry it up a bit and your knob will come right out. Other than that and its four bolts till you know if yours is burnt. I know getting your car running is first priority but don't put this off too long as it will eventually fail all together and it never fails while pulling into your driveway if you know what i mean. My last one failed at night away from home. No matter how fast your car is its useless at night with no lights.

id start with checking your connection at your starter.... also there is a tech bulliten about the small wire goin to the starter having a flaw.... sometimes with wont make a good enough connection... so i would start there and see what you get... and like was said try to push start it....

it's easy . took me less than 1 1/2 hour to do. i also removed my guage cluster to give me more room. if you look at the new pigtail you can see how the wire is held in place. use a small screwdriver to release the tab that holds it in place and the wire will push right out the back.
