so my ac compressor seized up on my car and is beginning to make a horrible noise, so i bought a used one off ebay and in the ad is said a V8 one and they sent me a V6 one... now my question is, is there a difference between the two? can i use a v6 compressor?

The whole system is a closed system the accumilator takes the moisture out of the system. If left to exposed air it will start to absorb the outside moisture and not function properly and kill your system again but this time there will be more damage. Im not sure about replacing the low pressure line but if there is anything in the system now it might be a good idea to inspect all harware and clean before reinstalling anything old. Also if there are any filters replace them. Please do replace it it will save you in the long run.

Im also doing this in class right now and being trained/certified for both r134/r22

All the metal shavings of that shelled compressor will be in the lines out of the compressor, the condensor, and the orifice tube.

(Im not sure if the orifice is removable or its built into a liquid line)...

But yea, AC system will need to be atleast completly flushed or replace all those parts.

It sucks, but the compressor spit alot of crap into the system. If you just swap compressors, its probably not going to live very long.

The orifice tube is built into the low pressure liquid line. Thats y you have to replace. It should only be like 15 dollars and accumulator like 30_40. Dont install till your actually ready to gey tje system vacuumed and filled. Also need to add oil to everything.
