I hope that concept isnt too close to the production vehicle. Maybe I missed something but there is nothing about that car that says mustang.

I couldn't agree more. And just the thought of an eco boost mustang is awful

Those concepts have been around forever it wont look anything like that. Whats wrong with eco boost? Not the first time Ford has put a 4 cyl turbo in a Mustang

I'm ok with the ecoboost being offered. Hell I bet its the cheaper models that keep the mustang going not the gt, shelby. Besides my only hope of owning a mustang that body style is down the road aways, buying a 4 cylinder and swapping a 5.0 in, lol.

*Sigh*

The orange Mustang in that link is the 2009 Mustang Giugiaro concept.
The red car is a Ford Evo concept.
The blue is THE '14 Mustang concept.
Ford did say that the next Mustang will not be retro by any means.

The blue car is to close to the EVO concept. I highly doubt they will overlap designs. Essentially killing any type of originality to the mustang at that point. Personally I think they need to shrink the car down some. Put it on a diet, improve the suspension and get things back to a more muscular approach. Wide fender look with sweeping body lines.

I believe they are going to make the car smaller, and with IRS. Ford has been doing well lately, I'm going to keep my hopes up.

For what it's worth our cars really don't look much like the original Mustangs either.

just doesn't sound like the term "muscle" should even be associated with the word "eco" lol. But i can see why ford's doing this. the v6 mustangs were the reason mustang production stayed strong.

IMO the ecoboost is kinda misleading. They do offer increased fuel economy. But as will be seen with the focus St they can be tuned to be strong performance engines. There are nt many differences in the ST engine and the same 2.0 ecoboost in the new escape.
