I want a deep roar exhaust system

i would love to have a really loud deep roar exhaust set up like borla i had o/r xpipe with org 40s on my 96 gt and sounded beautiful but it was more a gt roar it was loud but like really raspy and i want something just as loud but deep sounding like borla stingers on my 97 cobra

I think american muscle has a kit for our bodystyles. If not then you buy a 99+ kit and a set of 98-04 hangers that bolt to the bottom of your rear bumper support, no modification, your just adding 2 hangers.

I looked at the exhaust set ups that American muscle has for boreal but only for 99-04 so would the exhaust set up just bolt on to my stock 97 cobra headers? Or do I buy everything separate?

The only difference between the 96-98 and the 99-04 is the exhaust hangers. Everything else fits.

yes. you should run a 5.0 they are really deep. lol. but h-pipe would make it deeper but take away some of the rasp, but the rasp only in higher rpms. i have thrush 2 chambers, with a x-pipe. ill get a video if you want.

I was saying that the 5.0's will give u a deep roar. Put a x-pipe on and there's your rasp. Depending on how much you want put the Stingers on for a better sound. I'll get a vid up possibly today. 1 with cutouts and 1 with out. Cutouts are another fun feature.

Definitely go with an offroad H pipe if you want a deep rumbly exhaust note.

If you go with dumps then no you wont have to buy the 2 hangers for the back bumper support, but it wont have that stinger sound. My SLP's have a completely different sound when I take off the actual tailpipes.
