Ok my car recently "totalled", so need a new one.

I was thinking of buying a 94-98 GT but a clean one for 3-4k is hard to come buy. I am not a fan of foxbody's but i like some, like http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/1705154266.html

Any ideas on other cars than mustangs? i know this is a mustang forum but just testing waters...ha

You'll want to change to mass air. And put a gear in it ASAP. As well as freshen up the brakes/steering/suspension. They feel like a golf cart in terms of chassis. I love foxes, had 20 of them just got tired of having to redo EVERY single one of them because they stock setup sucks so incredibly bad. I will say that, that is a really clean car. And for 4200 its a good buy.

For a DD?

I recently picked up an 05 Grand Prix,i am a happy camper so far
It has a lil go when i need it, good gas mileage, comfortable, interior is huge and so is the trunk.

Yeah i am really picky when it comes to those, i just linked that because i dont like them all that much. Ive found some other cars too its just i am kind of tied up right now waiting for insurance check/check from kid who hit me lol. so budget in the air. but foxbody's have a ton of potential, just takes a lot to get there

Pick up a used BMW, IS Lexus, Bamf truck, or an old muscle car.

If you going Grand Prix for a high school DD go with a 97- 03 GTP coupe. But personally I'd say a 98-02 Firebird is the best alternative to a Mustang, girls love them and they don't have as much connection to mullets as a Camaro.

driving a manual everyday is boring, hence why i have an auto as a dd.
I learned to drive 5 speed within the first week, nothing hard just need some practice.

that red 98 GT was most likely in an accident. the airbags were changed and the exhaust has red paint on it, which means the bumper was repainted, probably from an accident

hahha "Hell no" haha. I found a nice one but in CT, and i am in MD. http://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/1704876230.html

And yeah, i only drive it to and from school...like 5 miles. Then cruise on weekends. If i have somewhere to go farther than town i take the parents car shhh

NICE! pi swap and cams
go get it, hand him 3200 and take that baby home with you.

Worst thing you can do when listing an ad, is explain the reason of selling the car
in this case he is desperate to get "some" money on his hands.

show up with 3200 and thank me later.

^ I know !!!! I make the drive to Plymouth MA all the time so 4.5 hours isnt so bad. I just emailed him asking about the "pile" of mods and if he has receipts etc etc. It just sucks SO BADLY because i have to wait for this insurance S*** to go through before having any legitimate money in hand to buy it with. Oh well he doesnt know that ;)

Yeah my dad is involved i already got that far haha. I dont see the need to get a loan if i will get a check from insurance soon you know? but the kid that hit me is pretty wealthy (both parent doctors) and the kid cant file a claim or will be dropped (a lot of accidents...yet he claims no fault..yeah), so maybe they will write me a check. I just dont want to have my dad file for a loan then have a check come in the next day !! But hopefully that guy emails back quick..that car is probably the best i will get for that price range
